Bakery Gives Over 1000 Custom Cakes to Seniors Missing Graduation Celebrations

The recent lockdown has put many festivities on hold. For millions of students in the class of 2020, graduation parties are being replaced with online celebrations, or quiet days at home. To make these sour ends a bit sweeter, a baker from Minnesota has found a sweet way to make local students feel special. Last month, Hanisch Bakery and Coffee Shop in the town of Red Wing  decided to make a custom cake for all the seniors from the nearby Red Wing High School. The owner of the Bakery, Bill Hanisch felt motivated to bring happiness into the students lives after learning they would be missing out on a special day. Many citizens from the town of Red Wing were inspired by his actions and donated to the bakery so they could bake the cakes. Congratulations to the class of 2020!

7-Year-Old Holds Mini Prom for Babysitter Who’s Event Was Cancelled

From Raleigh, North Carolina, this 7-year-old may not be old enough to attend high school, but was definitely the prom king as he rescued his devastated nanny. 17-year-old Rachel Chapman had been babysitting Curtis for a year prior to the outbreak of COVID. The more time she spent with the Roger’s, the more she became part of their loving family. After being forced into quarantine, they were unable to see each other for 2 months. Along with missing the Roger’s family, Rachel is also a senior and was sad to find out that she would be unable to attend her prom and commencement ceremony this year. When Curtis heard this, he insisted that he hold a socially distant prom in their backyard. He even used a huge promposal sign to invite her to the event!
