As a child, I remember playing a game of hot lava with my family. Back then we didn’t have the number of TV channels on demand or the internet, so we had to become creative with our free time.
How to play?
The rules are simple; someone says “THE FLOOR IS LAVA”, and people have 5 seconds to get off the ground before they disintegrate into molten volcanic fluid!
With kids, we suggest planning your game space so that it is safe. Create areas on the floor, which are safe zones along with your other furniture which is safely accessible.
Hot lava monster
You can also change up the game to make it more fun and interactive. One person becomes the monster whose mission is to tag another player. The monster can only stay in the lava zones, and the players should try and keep moving around the room.
As always make sure your space is safe for the little ones before playing the game.
